MOUNTAIN VIEW, California - Google wants your help, and everyone's, to nurture its virtual reality platform with more interactive 360-degree photos. For this, it has  launched the Tour Creator tool  during the Google I / O developer conference .

Tour Creator  is a tool for students, teachers or anyone else to put points of interest to 360-degree photos, which when touched, highlight more information about the image. These images will then be uploaded to the Poly platform , Google's 3D content catalog, which will allow it to be viewed from a cell phone, a tablet, a desktop computer and more importantly, with virtual reality glasses.

"The teachers and students had told us that they would love to have a way to share their own VR experiences," wrote Brittney Fraser, an engineer at Google's Daydream virtual reality platform. "That's why we're introducing Tour Creator ... a tool designed to allow you to produce VR content at a professional level without you having to learn a lot [of programming]."

Tour Creator complements Google's virtual reality efforts in educational classrooms. The company already offers Google Expeditions , the content of virtual reality tours, where students can visit remote places without having to leave their schools. Many of these visits are made by students wearing VR glasses like the affordable Google Cardboard.
